HOKU

Hoku represents MULTINESIA in cyberspace. She is a dashboard hula doll currently living in Hollywood, California. Hoku appears on You Tube, WordPress, Facebook and Bebo. She is reclaiming her heritage as a proud representative of Polynesian kitsch.
KARIN WILLIAMS
Producer/director
Karin Williams founded MULTINESIA PRODUCTIONS to help tell authentic stories from indigenous perspectives. Karin is a journalist and filmmaker of Pacific Islands heritage (Cook Is/Aotearoa). She began her career as a reporter on the island of Rarotonga, and went on to work for broadcast networks in Aotearoa and the USA.
Her films have screened nationally on PBS and at festivals across North America and the Pacific. Awards include four regional Emmys and a Peabody, but her favorite is the Dreamspeakers Best Global Indigenous Award for The Voyage Home (1996).
Karin is one of those rare Pacific Islanders who loves skiing but doesn’t like bananas.
DIANA WILMAR
Director of Photography
Diana Wilmar has worked around the world at remote locations and challenging events, including the San Francisco earthquake, El Salvador civil war, garbage dumps of Cairo, and Native Alaskan villages at 40-below zero in the arctic. She has filmed wolves in Yellowstone National Park, Samoan tattoo artists and California bounty hunters.
An award-winning videographer, Diana is known as a goddess in Samoa – a cross between Sina, goddess of the moon, and Xena Warrior Princess – and “the best cameraman in Central America”.
When not hauling camera gear across the planet, she can be found swimming, biking, hiking, and skiing in the Pacific Northwest.

Hello,
Where can I get copies of your produced videos, in particular the makah whaling? I work in the education dept. of the national museum of the american indian. I saw your postings on utube and I know they would be a great resource for our public programming.
Thanks,
Cody Harjo
